On 8 July 2026, an information meeting with local stakeholders was organised in Vratsa, Bulgaria, as part of the OnBoard project. The event was hosted by the Agency for regional and economic development – Vratsa.

The meeting introduced participants to the OnBoard project, its objectives, planned activities and expected results. Particular attention was given to the practical benefits that the project aims to provide to businesses, education and training organisations, human resources professionals and other relevant stakeholders.

During the meeting, participants discussed some of the main challenges faced by companies when recruiting, integrating and retaining employees. These include skills shortages, limited internal training resources, insufficiently structured onboarding procedures and difficulties in maintaining the long-term engagement of newly appointed staff.

The event also provided an opportunity for participants to exchange experiences and share their perspectives on current human resource management practices. Their feedback will contribute to a better understanding of the real needs of employers and employees and will support the development of practical project results that can be applied in different organisational contexts.
