Partner meeting of the OnBoard Project in Zaragoza, Spain

On 28–29 May 2026, the transnational partner meeting of the Erasmus+ project “Supporting European SMEs in improving onboarding procedures to defeat turnover and become more resilient” - OnBoard - took place in Zaragoza, Spain. The meeting was hosted by Gestión Estratégica e Innovación SL and brought together project partners from Italy, Bulgaria, Denmark, Slovenia and Spain.

Funded by the Erasmus+ Programme, OnBoard aims to support small and medium-sized enterprises in improving their onboarding practices, reducing staff turnover and building more resilient teams. The project focuses on transforming onboarding from a mainly administrative process into a strategic approach that helps SMEs attract, integrate and retain employees more effectively.

The meeting provided an important opportunity for partners to review the overall progress of the project and coordinate the next stages of implementation. Discussions covered project management, technical and financial reporting, administrative procedures, achieved results, upcoming tasks and key deadlines. Partners also reviewed the outcomes of the international webinar, the interviews conducted with SMEs and job seekers, the challenges and good practices identified in the participating countries, and the transnational scientific report as one of the main project results. In addition, the consortium discussed the upcoming development of training modules, including their structure, expected results, quality indicators, risk prevention and management, as well as the communication, dissemination, sustainability and exploitation activities needed to ensure project visibility and long-term use of the results.

The partner meeting in Spain strengthened cooperation within the consortium and helped align responsibilities, timelines and expectations for the next phase of implementation. It marked another important step in the joint European effort to support SMEs in building more structured, inclusive and effective onboarding practices.
