The OnBoard project is pleased to invite SMEs, HR professionals, trainers, VET providers, and stakeholders from across Europe to join the upcoming international webinar:
“Improving Onboarding Practices in SMEs: Better Onboarding. Stronger Teams.”
The webinar will take place online on 13 May 2026 from 16:00 to 17:30 CET and will bring together experts from the fields of HR, vocational education, labour market inclusion, entrepreneurship, and SME support to discuss practical approaches, research findings, and international perspectives on onboarding in small and medium-sized enterprises.
Participants will have the opportunity to explore how effective onboarding can contribute to stronger employee integration, engagement, retention, and workplace culture within SMEs. The webinar will combine research-based insights, real-life experiences, and interactive discussion, offering practical ideas and inspiration for organisations seeking to improve their onboarding processes.
The agenda includes presentations from international experts representing different perspectives and sectors:
- Claudia Caggiano (EXEO LAB) – Introduction to the OnBoard project and its objectives;
- Valerij Dermol (ISSBS) – Research findings on onboarding practices in SMEs;
- Špela Dermol (ISSBS, Slovenia) – Education, digital learning, and SME capacity-building;
- Marise Larsen (Denmark) – HR perspective on onboarding, engagement, and retention;
- Rita Anson (Norway) – Entrepreneurial perspective on inclusion, trust, mentorship, and ecosystem-based onboarding;
- Philipp Poulastides (Greece) – Workers’ perspective on labour market inclusion, mentoring, and skills development.
The webinar is organised within the framework of the OnBoard Project (Erasmus+), which supports SMEs in developing more effective, structured, and inclusive onboarding practices.
